Students

Each year, approximately one-third of the third and fourth year medical students from WVU School of Medicine come to the Charleston campus to do their clinical training.

As a regional medical education campus, a large number of patients, diverse clinical challenges, and smaller trainee groups allow for enhanced "hands-on" opportunities to highlight learning offerings.

Charleston Area Medical Center, southern West Virginia’s largest health care provider, provides state-of-the-art training facilities for students.

Convenient, modern student housing and a vibrant capital city with many nearby recreational and cultural outlets round out a student's experience at the Charleston campus of the WVU School of Medicine.
