Minimally Invasive Surgery

The department of surgery has reached such a level of comfort in the performance of minimally invasive procedures, that this kind of approach is considered in practically every case requiring surgical treatment. Advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures are done daily, and the surgeons in the department are also asked often to assist with advanced minimally invasive approaches in some of the subspecialty cases. The expertise is applied to general, endocrine, oncologic, and colon and rectal cases. Surgical procedures using advanced procedures minimally invasive techniques are used to perform hernias, splenectomies, adrenalectomies, colon resection, pancreatectomies, common bile duct explorations and others.
