Open Faculty Positions

The Department of Dermatology at West Virginia University seeks qualified faculty for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in the primary location of Morgantown, WV.

 Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Dermatology and will be given substantial protected time and support for academic activities. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board certified / eligible in dermatology. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Department of Dermatology offers diagnosis and treatment of all types of skin disease including malignancy. Additionally the department includes subspecialists in Pediatric Dermatology and Procedural Dermatology. Our program provides in- and out-patient services along with NBUVB light treatments, Mohs surgery and laser surgery. The department is growing, adding new positions, and has recently doubled the size of the residency program.
