WVU's Emergency Medicine Residency Program
West Virginia University Emergency Medicine is a 3 year, ACGME accredited emergency medicine residency, founded in 1993. The program accepts 10 residents per incoming class. Training at West Virginia University is broad based--consisting of three clinical sites designed to prepare you for practicing in any emergency care setting you choose upon graduation.
Program Mission
WVU Emergency Medicine Residency’s mission is three-fold:
- Provide you with an outstanding, medically sound education so that you will be able to provide care to ANY patient you come in contact with.
- Surround you with departmental leadership that strives to provide you with an amazing education through a dynamic, innovative, and evidence-based curriculum.
- Continue our track record of graduating residents who are competent to practice independently in ANY emergency care setting.
