Information for Applicants
We are excited that you are interested in our Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Our program accepts applicants through ERAS and we participate in the NRMP match. In order to be considered for an interview, a completed application must be submitted via ERAS, which opens to applicants on September 15th of each year. Although applications are accepted until December 1st, the earlier your application is submitted, the higher the likelihood that you will be offered an interview.
To be complete, an application must include:
- ERAS Application Form
- Medical School Transcript
- Board Scores (USMLE preferred)
- Personal Statement
- MSPE
- Letters of Recommendation: Prefer at least 2 of the LORs be in the SLOE (Standardized Letters of Evaluation) format
Our Resident Selection Committee seriously considers all applications submitted, reviewing all aspects of the application. Personal interviews will be offered through Interview Broker to selected candidates after applications are reviewed and a running waitlist is kept. Our program typically interviews from late October through January of each year.
We wish you success in the matching process and genuinely hope that we have a chance to meet you in Morgantown, WV. Please contact us if you have any questions!
