Bachelor of Science (BS)

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in exercise physiology offers a unique, accredited curriculum that prepares students for postgraduate studies or immediate employment. As part of this curriculum, students pursue either a minor or a specialized area of emphasis, including options like aquatic therapy, dance science, or health professions. Well-qualified freshman applicants who are interested in a career in physical therapy can also indicate their interest in the School of Medicine's Early Assurance Program.

Graduates of the WVU Exercise Physiology program are eligible to take the certification examinations offered by the American College of Sports Medicine, and find work in a variety of clinical settings. Others choose to continue their education in graduate and professional school.
