About Us
The immunology and medical microbiology degree prepares students for diverse career and graduate school pathways by providing an in-depth examination of two related disciplines, immunology and microbiology. Graduates can pursue immediate career opportunities in biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, government agencies, public health, and teaching - although many choose to further their studies in medical, dental, or veterinary school; PhD programs; and other graduate pathways.
The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology offers the BS degree in Immunology and Medical Microbiology, which is one of only two programs in the United States housed in a school of medicine. Information on WVU's IMMB program can be found on this site, along with more about our mission and goals; faculty and staff; upcoming events; and more.
