Inpatient Services

  • Supportive Care Inpatient Consults at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital: Comprehensive patient assessment and management focused on treating symptoms, promoting quality of life, helping with complex communication, and developing advanced care plans with inpatients
  • Inpatient Hospice Care J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital: Inpatient hospice services are provided in conjunction with the WVU Medicine Hospice. Interdisciplinary hospice care is provided to patients and their families with a focus on symptom management and meeting emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Inpatient Palliative Telemedicine Consults:  Telemedicine services are provided to system hospitals throughout the entire state, working with local providers to meet palliative care needs across the state’s geographic area.

Outpatient Services

  • Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center Supportive Care Clinic: Symptom management in cancer patients with a variety of primary malignancies, including gynecological cancers
  • Physician Office Center Supportive Care Clinic: General palliative medicine outpatient clinic with no disease limitation
  • Heart and Vascular Institute Supportive Care Clinic:  Outpatient palliative medicine clinic with a focus on patients with cardiac disease, Pulmonary Hypertension and LVADs.
  • ALS Clinic: In coordination with the Neurology department, patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis are provided care for symptom control, advanced care planning, patient and caregiver support, and assistance with transitions of care as goals evolve.
  • VA Medical Center Oncology clinic in Clarksburg: Outpatient palliative medicine support is provided to patients of the VAMC oncology clinic
