Critical Care Fellowship

We are so excited to share our program with you. The Critical Care Medicine program at West Virginia University is ACGME-accredited program that takes 2 fellows per year. Training takes place at Ruby Memorial Hospital, a 690 bed, quaternary referral hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Our intensive care units serve the state, providing advanced care for all residents of West Virginia as well as neighboring counties in Maryland and Pennsylvania. As a large referral center, we see a breadth of common, complex, and rare medical problems that provides the foundation of training for our fellows. Our fellows rotate through our surgical ICU, cardiovascular ICU, and Neurology ICU and are exposed to patients with renal and cardiac transplants and those on ECMO.

Our program excels because of our teaching faculty. Our staff are dedicated to education, research, and mentorship. Beyond this, they are approachable and foster a warm environment for inquiry and learning. We strive to create compassionate, knowledgeable physicians

Morgantown, WV is a college town full of life. Home to West Virginia University, it boasts 30,000 residents with an eclectic selection of food and endless adventures for your friends and family. From rail-trails to whitewater rafting to skiing, you will never run out of things to do nearby. We are also conveniently located 1 hour from Pittsburgh and 3 hours from Washington D.C.
