Our Programs

• Athletic Training (MS)

  Interested in sports medicine? Gain hands-on experiences in our state-of-the-art classrooms, research facilities and clinical rotations with WVU's Big 12 teams as well as professional sports teams.

• Audiology (AuD)

  Learn to diagnose and treat a wide range of vestibular and hearing disorders while gaining experience in several clinical rotations in medical and educational settings.

• Biomedical Sciences (PhD)

  Enter as an undifferentiated student and take core classes while conducting three research rotations during your first semester. Then choose a graduate path from seven Ph.D. offering programs.

• Clinical and Translational Science (MS)

  The objective of this program is to foster the training and career development of health professionals in clinical and translational research.

• Clinical and Translational Science (PhD)

  This program was developed in response to fundamental changes taking place in biomedical science research and education worldwide and prepares students for careers in the public and private sectors.

• Exercise Physiology (MS)

  Discover the anatomy and physiology of the human body with a combination of course work and hands-on experiences that include a human cadaver lab, work with actual patients and more.

• Health Sciences (MS)

  A 12-month, non-thesis masters program. The program targets students who desire to enhance their competitiveness for entry into advanced degree programs or are interested in more in-depth study.

• MD/PhD Program

  This program prepares you for an academic career that combines the practice and teaching of clinical medicine with investigation of mechanisms of disease.

• Medical Laboratory Science (MS)

• Occupational Therapy (MOT)

  Learn to help people gain everyday functionality in our Master of Occupational Therapy program. *We are undergoing the accreditation process for the OT Doctorate, enrolling our first class in 2021.

• Occupational Therapy (OTD)

  In response to a rapidly changing environment within occupational therapy and health care, WVU has initiated the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) Program to complement its 2+3 MOT Program.

• Pathologists' Assistant (MS)

  Gain the skills to perform autopsies, dissect organs for disease and diagnose with state-of-the-art equipment while preparing for opportunities in forensic, surgical and autopsy pathology.

• Physical Therapy (DPT)

  Study the diagnosis and management of movement disorders and gain experience in clinical rotations in West Virginia, surrounding states and our own Faculty Practice clinic.

• Physician Assistant Studies (MS)

  Prepare to join a team of healthcare professionals while gaining hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art classrooms and simulation center.

• Speech-Language Pathology (MS)

  Learn to diagnose and treat a wide range of communication disorders while gaining hands-on experience in our newly updated Speech and Hearing Clinic. Both an on-campus and online program are offered.
