This is your first step to becoming a fellow in the Bariatric Fellowship Program accredited by the Fellowship Council.

Our program participates in the Fellowship Council Match. Applications will be accepted through the Fellowship Council (FC). A completed application must be submitted via FC https://www.fellowshipcouncil.org/applicants-for-fellowship/ to be considered for an interview.

A completed application must include:

  • FC Application Form
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Board Scores
  • Personal Statement
  • Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 3 letters)

There will be one available position.

2026-2027 Application Process Timeline:

  • Monday, December 14, 2026 : Fellowship Council Application Process Opens at 5:00pm Pacific
  • Monday, January 25, 2027 : Deadline for Letters of Recommendations
  • Monday, February 1, 2027 : Fellowship Application Closes
  • Tuesday, February 2, 2027 : Program Directors Gain Access to Fellow Applications
  • Monday, March 8, 2027* : Universal Interview Offer Day
  • Friday, April 2, 2027 : Deadline to notify Applicants of their interview status
  • Thursday, May 6, 2027 : Rank Order List (ROL) Opens
  • Thursday, May 13, 2027 : Deadline for Quota Change
  • Thursday, May 20, 2027 : Deadline for PROGRAM DIRECTORS to submit and certify Rank Order List (ROL)
  • Thursday, June 3, 2027 : Deadline for APPLICANTS to submit and certify Rank Order List (ROL)
  • Monday, June 21, 2027 : Scramble Date
  • Tuesday, June 22, 2027 : Announcement of Fellowship Matches
  • Tuesday, August 1, 2028: Fellowships Begin
