CAMC General HospitalLocated on the eastern edge of downtown Charleston, Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) General Hospital is home to the Neuroscience Center, Level I Trauma Center and CAMC Sleep Center. Each year, the experienced trauma center staff treat nearly 2,500 patients. An average of 1,500 patients receive neurosurgery and medical rehabilitation services here. Other services offered here include kidney transplantation program, carried out in tandem with the Cleveland Clinic; as well as the state's only accredited sleep disorders center. CAMC General Hospital is also home to the behavioral medicine, psychiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, transitional care and orthopedics departments.  CAMC Memorial HospitalCAMC Memorial Hospital is home to the nation's seventh largest cardiology programs. Here, physicians perform more cardiac catheterizations than Johns Hopkins or the Mayo Clinic, and excel in bypass surgery. Baylor Medical Center has sent several surgeons to Charleston for training in some specialized procedures. Memorial Hospital is also the site of the Cancer Center of Southern West Virginia and a related cancer patient support program; as well as the Heart Institute of West Virginia and a comprehensive Diabetes Center, clinics and general medical-surgical inpatient services. The West Virginia University Health Sciences Center, Charleston Division also is located on this campus. CAMC Memorial Hospital is located in the Kanawha City area of Charleston, West Virginia, across the Kanawha River from the state capitol.  CAMC Women and Children's HospitalCAMC Women and Children's Hospital is located on the banks of the Elk River, just west of downtown Charleston, W. Va. Each year more than 3,200 babies are born here, many of which are high-risk births. The hospital is home to the region's largest and busiest Level III neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The pediatric physicians of West Virginia University/Charleston Division provide specialty consultation in endocrinology, surgery, trauma and critical care. Charleston Division obstetrics and gynecology faculty provide high-tech maternal-fetal medicine and gynecologic cancer services. The Family Resource Center at Women and Children's Hospital is located on the Women and Children's Hospital campus in Charleston. Center staff provide short-term counseling, family-based health education and guided tours of CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital triage, labor/delivery/recovery and mother/baby units.

CAMC General Hospital is home to the highest level Trauma Center, nationally-accredited Medical Rehabilitation and Stroke Centers, Neurosciences Center, one of two Facial Surgery Centers, Charleston's only accredited Sleep Center, orthopedic trauma services, and southern West Virginia's only Kidney Transplant Center (affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic). General Hospital also offers services such as urology, behavioral medicine and psychiatry, and physical and occupational therapies.

Each year, our experienced Trauma Center staff cares for approximately 3,100 patients. Plus, nearly 1,500 patients also receive neurosurgery and medical rehabilitation services here.


CAMC Memorial HospitalCAMC Memorial Hospital
is home to one of the highest volume heart programs in the United States. Each year, physicians perform about 8,000 procedures in the cardiac catheterization labs and more than 1,600 open-heart bypass surgeries.
Comprehensive cancer care is also housed on Memorial Hospital's campus. Our multidisciplinary team includes radiation, gynecologic and medical oncologists, as well as oncology pharmacists, psychologists dedicated to the care of cancer patients and their families, case coordinators, social workers and skilled oncology registered nurses. Our services also include a cancer patient support program for families. CAMC cancer services have been accredited since 1956 and offer the most, highest trained, nationally certified health care professionals in the region.
Memorial Hospital also is the site of the Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, Vascular Center of Excellence, comprehensive diabetes center, family medicine and internal medicine clinics, and general medical-surgical inpatient services.

For our young patients, our pediatric physicians provide consultation and care in more than 30 specialties including adolescent medicine, allergy and immunology, cardiology, critical care medicine, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, infectious disease, neonatal-perinatal medicine, neurology, pulmonary medicine and surgery.
For women, we offer obstetric services, including high-risk maternal-fetal medicine, in addition to a full range of gynecologic services.
The CAMC Family Resource Center, located on the Women and Children's Hospital campus, provides short-term counseling, family-based health education and guided tours of our hospital's triage, labor/delivery/recovery and mother/baby units. The Children’s Advocacy Center provides children and families with professional, compassionate care to reduce trauma often experienced by children who are victims of abuse.
