Welcome!

This is your first step to becoming a fellow in the West Virginia University Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program.

Our program participates in the NRMP Match. Applications will be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). In order to be considered for an interview, a completed application must be submitted via ERAS before October 15th. Our program participates exclusively in the NRMP to select one Hospice and Palliative Medicine candidate.

A completed application must include:

ERAS Application Form
Medical School Transcript
Board Scores
Personal Statement
MSPE
Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 3 letters)

There will be one available position.

Our institution sponsors J-1 visas only. We do not sponsor H-1b visas.

2023 Application Process Timeline

June 7, 2023: ERAS season begins
July 5, 2023: Fellowship applicants may begin submitting applications
July 19, 2023: Fellowship programs start receiving applications
August 23, 2023: NRMP – Match opens
August- October 2023: Interviews
September 27, 2023: Rank Order list opens
November 15, 2023: Rank Order list certification deadline
November 29, 2023: Match Day
