Division of Geriatrics, Palliative Medicine, and Hospice is committed to excellence in care, education and research. Fellows are required to complete one research or quality improvement project during their fellowship training. Examples of current areas of study include:

  • Clinical Signs of Imminent Death in Inpatient Hospice Patients
  • Inpatient CPR Survival Rates
  • COVID-19 Pandemic Impacts on U.S. Hospice Agencies
  • Emergency Preparedness Involvement by U.S. Hospice Agency Personnel

Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in the WVCTSI Fellows Research Academy.
