Welcome!

This is your first step in becoming a fellow in the West Virginia University Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program.

Our program participates in the NRMP Match. Applications will be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). In order to be considered for an interview, a completed application must be submitted via ERAS before October 15th. Our program participates in exclusively in the NRMP to select three-year Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine candidates.

A completed application must include:

ERAS Application Form
Medical School Transcript
Board Scores
Personal Statement
MSPE
Letters of Recommendation (minimum of 3 letters)

There will be five available positions.

Our institution sponsors J-1 visas only. We do not sponsor H-1b visas.

Applicants must be board eligible in Internal Medicine.

2023 Application Process Timeline

July 19, 2023: Fellowship programs may begin reviewing applications
August 23, 2023: Match Registration Opens
September – October 2023: Interviews
September 27, 2023: Ranking Opens
November 1, 2023: Quota Change Deadline
November 15, 2023: Rank Order List Certification Deadline
November 29, 2023: Match Day
July 1, 2024: Training Begins
