Why WVU:

I chose WVU for fellowship because it provides exposure to advanced lung diseases across Appalachia, drawing patients from West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The program offers outstanding opportunities to develop procedural skills in bronchoscopy, EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy, pleural interventions, and critical care. Morgantown’s welcoming community and outdoor activities at Coopers Rock and Cheat Lake make it an ideal place to train and live.

Research Interest:

My research interests are still evolving, but I am primarily focused on improving outcomes in patients with complex lung pathologies across both outpatient and inpatient settings. I am particularly interested in exploring evidence-based strategies that enhance early diagnosis, optimize management, and improve long-term quality of life for individuals with advanced pulmonary diseases.

Favorite thing about Morgantown:

My favorite part of living in Morgantown is the beautiful landscape and abundance of outdoor activities, from hiking at Coopers Rock to relaxing at Cheat Lake. Being a Mountaineer makes the experience even more special, and having family in the city truly makes Morgantown feel like home.

One word to describe the fellowship:

Transformative
