Ferrari Award for Academic Excellence in Pediatrics
The Ferrari's with 2014 recipient Zachary Garrett
This award was established by Nancy H. and Norman D. Ferrari III, MD in 1999 to honor the Morgantown based medical student who achieves the highest grade in the pediatric clerkship.
Dr. Ferrari has been a member of the Pediatric faculty since 1986, and served 13 years as the Pediatric Clerkship Director before stepping down to assume the role as Associate Dean for Student Services and Academic Progress. Dr.Ferrari also served the Department as Interim Chair from March 1998 to June 1999 and again from December 2002 until January 2006. He also served the School of Medicine as Interim Associate Vice President and Dean of Medicine for the Charleston Division Campus from July 2001 to September 2002.
