Sakarba Vasanji Dedhia Award

 For Outstanding Medical Student of Indian Origin/Heritage

  

Established in 2004, by Harakh V. Dedhia, M.D., Professor of Internal Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and his wife, Anuja Dedhia, to honor the memory of his mother and father.

The criteria includes the selection of a senior medical student of Indian (Asian) origin or heritage demonstrating excellence in their performance of medical education, scholastic activities, inter-personal relationships, academic/scholarly activities and any community/charitable work. Students are encouraged to self identify as potential candidates by June with the selection being made in early September.
