HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS. The Morgantown Office will be closed on Monday, December 25th and January 1st 2018. Otherwise the office will be open, with limited staff from 7:30am – 5:30pm. Many wishes for a joyous holiday season!

GLOBAL HEALTH ROTATION INFO. Interested in a Global Health Rotation? The application and instructions for your narrative and CV due to Jacque Visyak by January 15.
GHHS NOMINATIONS - It’s time to collect peer recommendations and nominations for the Gold Humanism Honor Society for the Class of 2019! The short, 6 (six) question survey will allow you to select up to 3 (three) classmates that you believe best answer those questions. The survey will remain open until 5pm on December 22, 2017.
RURAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM The WVU Department of Family Medicine is pleased to announce that the applications for its innovative Rural Scholars Program are now available. This program is designed for students committed to making rural/small town Family Medicine in West Virginia a career. Qualified MS III’s are eligible for a $10,000 stipend for their fourth year and facilitated admission to WVU’s Morgantown Family Medicine Residency. The Rural Scholars Program allows for an enhanced primary care experience in the 4th year curriculum as well as early integration into the residency experience. Deadline for application is January 15, 2018. Please contact Holly Maroon if you would like information on how to apply.

PEDS Grand Rounds is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday 8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC. Remaining sessions held at the ED conference room in ED of BMC. If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.
VOLUNTEER Speaking Opportunity – Prostate Cancer Support Group is looking for students to speak on various prostate cancer topics for 15-20 minutes, with a potential Q&A session. Meetings held 6:30-8:30pm on second Thursday of each month, 2nd floor of Dorothy McCormack Building. Contact Dr. Paul Kradel, 304-267-2520, if interested.
