REMINDER – FRIDAY - WELLNESS EVENT in MORGANTOWN!  All Students/families invited – BACK TO SCHOOL BASH!  Friday, August 19th, 5:00 pm Krepp’s Park.  Sponsored by the Gold Humanism Honor Society.  Come meet the Class of 2020 and encourage them in their new amazing journey! Bring a covered dish/dessert!!!!  Hamburgers and hotdogs provided. 

REQUEST FROM DR. MARSH:  Health for WV and the World! WVU Diversity Week October 9-14 will give us the opportunity to get to know our community better and showcase our unique perspectives to our extended WVU family…. I invite you to use the online form to submit your ideas.  Activities could include things such as food tastings, concerts, performances, demonstrations, interactive group sessions, presentations, panel discussions, etc. -- but be creative and collaborative in your suggestions.”

What’s Happening  – Morgantown

PHYSICIANS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS Meeting will meet Tuesday, August 30th at noon in room 1905.  Dr. Josephine Reece will be speaking about her year in Liberia.

OPHTHALMOLOGY INTEREST GROUP will meet on Wednesday, August 17th at 5 pm in the 2nd floor conference room of the WVU Eye Institute.  M1 – M4 invited.  Food will be available.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Saturday, Aug. 27th for the MSI Eastern Campus Tour. Guides are needed to lead hospital tours at Berkeley medical Center, and join the visiting students for lunch.  If you are on campus this weekend, please guide our visitors.  Community Service hours available.

M4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Saturday, Aug. 27th for the MSI Eastern Campus Tour to lead tours at the hospital and speak with students about the “Eastern Experience” with the longitudinal schedule.  Includes lunch!

OB/GYN Journal Club- Oct. 17, 7:30am Classroom, on Monday.  Jacques students will be assigned to present by Dr. Merzouk.  Only Jacques students attend OB/Journal Club. 

PEDS GRAND ROUNDS is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday 8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC.  The rest of the Wednesday is at the ED conference room in ED of BMC.  If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.
