ALL STUDENTS IMPORTANT NOTICE – PEER PROFESSIONALISM & PEER EVALUATIONS: Advancing medical student professionalism is an important aim of our medical school curriculum as outlined in the WVU SoM Code of Professionalism. You will be asked to complete PEER PROFESSIONALISM EVALUATIONS in the coming days. Please remember that these evaluations are intended to offer both recognition for outstanding professionalism and constructive advice. All M1 & M2 students will evaluate peers in PBL and CLG groups, respectively. All M3 & M4 students will evaluate peers on your campuses per rotation experience. THESE EVALUATIONS ARE ANONYMOUS and a REQUIRED component of your professionalism expectations!

HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENT: Click here to access the spring 2017 student health insurance waiver. Eligible students without an approved waiver on file by the deadline of December 16th will be automatically enrolled in the WVU Aetna student health insurance plan at a cost of $791 per semester, assessed to the student’s account. Students with an approved health insurance waiver on file for the fall 2016 term have opted out of the student health insurance plan for the 2016-2017 academic year and do not need to complete the spring student health insurance waiver. ALL STUDENTS – SPRING REGISTRATION deadline November 20^th. Full-time (9 hours) are required of all active students. Tuition payment is due December 18^th. Check your MIX/STAR account for any financial aid issues or University holds that will prevent you from registering.

THE RACKII@HSC: Ground Floor of Health Sciences (adjacent to the Market restaurant area). The pantry will be open Tuesdays (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), Wednesdays (3-5 p.m.) and Thursdays (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Students/employees will be required to complete a one-time form (used for data purposes only) upon their first visit to the Rack II.

FLU SHOT REMINDER: CastleBranch - the deadline is December 1^st. Failure to complete this requirement WILL prohibit you from patient contact.

SPECIAL COMMUNITY DRIVE: SAFE Clinic Student Organization is having a toiletry drive for the Mylan Puskar Health Right Clinic of toiletry items such as shampoo, soap, tooth brushes, deodorant, and underwear. We will be doing the drive until the end of the year. Remember, every $10 of purchased items counts as 1 hour of community service! Questions, Phillip Pifer
