ALL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS:  IT’S THAT Time AGAIN!  STUDENT ORGANIZATION FAIR…

The first planning meeting for the fair will be held Tuesday, 7/19/2016 at 12:00 in the West Virginia Room. You may bring your lunch if you like. Lunch will NOT be provided. We will be working on the logistics for the Student Organizational Fair on 8/4/2016. So please bring your “A” game and your IDEAS!

RADIOLOGY INTEREST GROUP will be meeting July 18th at 5:30p in the Radiology Conference Room 2nd floor HSC South for a WebEx Conference with Dartmouth and other universities to discuss residency.

What’s Happening – Eastern

ALL STUDENTS are expected to attend the Eastern Panhandle Medical Society meeting on Wed. Aug. 10tt and the Martinsburg Holiday Inn.  The meet and greet begins at 6:00pm.  The Eastern Class of 2018 will be introduced to the Medical Society.

ALL M4 STUDENTS will be contacted for an appointment this month to meet with Dr. C regarding your CV, ERAS application, and personal Statement.

GTR#2-June/July/Aug.- Meetings with Dr. C for CV, Personal Statement, and Specialty choices discussion. 
GTR#3- Sept/Oct- Eastern Mock Interviews by appointment, or can participate in Morgantown or Charleston if rotating there when offered. 
GTR#4- Jan. 2016- Video Conference presentation available on all campuses: Match and SOAP review.

CUSHING:

Surgical Morbidity and Mortality- (M & M) Student presenters for the following dates- Aug. 12, Sept. 9th Oct. 14, and Nov. 11. 7:30am, 8th Floor Classroom, BMC.  Cushing Students will select a date and volunteer to present. Dr. Turner will assign your presentation topic.  All Students, mandatory attendance at Surgical M & M. 

JACQUES:

OB/GYN Journal Club- Mon. Aug. 15, and Oct. 17, 7:30am Classroom, on Monday.  Jacques students will be assigned to present by Dr. Merzouk.  Only Jacques students attend OB/Journal Club. 

PEDS GRAND ROUNDS is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday 8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC.  The rest of the Wednesday is at the ED conference room in ED of BMC.  If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.  

GRAND ROUNDS:  Monday, July 18th at Noon, 8th floor classroom, lunch provided.  Title and speaker-TBA, (Urine Drug Testing is the topic area).  All other July presentations are cancelled due to Holiday and vacation.
