WELLNESS EVENT in MORGANTOWN! All Students/families invited – BACK TO SCHOOL BASH!  Friday, August 19, Krepps Park.  Sponsored by the Gold Humanism Honor Society.  Come meet the Class of 2020 and encourage them in their new amazing journey!

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS for the 42nd Annual Hal Wanger Family Medicine Conference Poster Session.  Deadline August 15th.  Posters will be presented on September 29th.  Email to Holly Maroon

WELLNESS EVENT in MORGANTOWN – ALL STUDENTS INVITED!  M3 Morgantown hosting a Pig Roast at Krepps Park.  Friday, October 21, 4-9 pm, Krepps Park. 

Renovations have started in the G113B (Blue Room).  All students need to remove their personal belongings from this room. During construction, some of the study carrels will be relocated to room G100, otherwise known as the North Cafeteria.

ATTENDTION ALL STUDENT ORGANIZATION:

What’s Happening – Eastern

ALL STUDENTS are expected to attend the Eastern Panhandle Medical Society meeting on Wed. Aug. 10tt and the Martinsburg Holiday Inn.  The meet and greet begins at 6:00pm.  The Eastern Class of 2018 will be introduced to the Medical Society.   

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Saturday, Aug. 27th for the MSI Eastern Campus Tour. Guides are needed to lead hospital tours at Berkeley medical Center, and join the visiting students for lunch.   Community Service hours available.

MS4 Class of 2017

M4 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Saturday, Aug. 27th for the MSI Eastern Campus Tour to lead tours at the hospital and speak with students about the “Eastern Experience” with the longitudinal schedule.  Includes lunch!

Transcript Review Begins.  Block 6 grades and M3 Honors should now be viewable on your transcript through MIX.  Take time to review them any questions contact your student services.  ERAS Transcripts will be requested this week.  Please check your unofficial transcript in STAR to make sure that all grades have bene posted for you.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING CAREER COUNSELING DATES:

GTR#2- August - Meetings with Dr. C for CV, Personal Statement, and Specialty choices discussion. 
GTR#3- Sept/Oct- Eastern Mock Interviews by appointment, or can participate in Morgantown or Charleston if rotating there when offered. 
GTR#4- Jan. 2016- Video Conference presentation available on all campuses: Match and SOAP review.

OB/GYN Journal Club- Mon. Aug. 15, and Oct. 17, 7:30am Classroom, on Monday.  Jacques students will be assigned to present by Dr. Merzouk.  Only Jacques students attend OB/Journal Club. 

PEDS GRAND ROUNDS is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday 8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC.  The rest of the Wednesday is at the ED conference room in ED of BMC.  If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.
