Y2Q:  Watch for your AAMC Y2Q survey email notice.  Save your email confirmation of completion for your participation in Y2Q week drawings October 10-14.  100% completion = $500.00 available for class event!

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY: Volunteers needed to help with a speech therapy gross anatomy lab being coordinated by Dr. Klinkhachorn for undergrad students in the Dept. of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD).   Community service hours for your time.  The current proposed date for this lab is MONDAY, November 14 from 1:30-2:30pm. Interested?  Kimberly Meigh.

What’s Happening – Eastern

Thanks to all the Eastern Campus students who participated in or assisted with this past Weekend’s Freedom’s Run.  A program of that magnitude can’t run without volunteers.  Thanks for supporting this program.

CAREER COUNSELING DATES:

GTR#3- Sept/Oct- Eastern Mock Interviews by appointment, or can participate in Morgantown or Charleston if rotating there when offered. 
GTR#4- Jan. 2016- Video Conference presentation available on all campuses: Match and SOAP review.

WVU School of Medicine Admissions Committee will be conducting interviews for applicants at the Eastern Campus on Friday, Oct. 7th.  From 10:30am-to 1:00pm.  MSIV students will ask as hosts, and guides for the hospital tour.  Thanks to volunteers, Leila Famouri, Joe Smoot, Kailey Yancey, Joe Hansroth, and Nick Rubenstein.

Oct. 7th- Eastern WVU students field trip to WV STEPS in Morgantown.  Please report to the front of the Health Sciences Center before 7:00am.  The shuttle will leave at 7:05am. 
Nov. 4, OB/Gyn practical 3:00-5:00pm Mountaineer Room  3:00-5:00pm (assigned times)
OB/Gyn mid-term conferences will be rescheduled. TBA.  
Nov. 18, 9:00-10:00am Internal Med Quiz #2 
(Please note-Students on a delayed module schedule will have separate mid-term exam dates to reflect your rotation mid-points assigned individually)

CUSHING:
Surgical Morbidity and Mortality- (M & M) Student presenters for the following dates- Oct. 14, and Nov. 11. 7:30am, 8th Floor Classroom, BMC.  Presentation assignments have been changed.  Topic is cases involving liver disease. 

JACQUES:
OB/GYN Journal Club- Oct. 17, 7:30am Classroom, on Monday.  Jacques students will be assigned to present by Dr. Merzouk.  Only Jacques students attend OB/Journal Club. 
PEDS GRAND ROUNDS is broadcast from Morgantown every Wednesday  8-9 am. The first Wednesday is at the board room on the 8th floor of BMC.  The rest of the Wednesday is at the ED conference room in ED of BMC.  If you are on a Pediatrics Week, please plan to attend.
